Garden of Well-being

Garden of Well-being

Benchmark has been working with local Stratford upon Avon charity Forest of Hearts to help build a wellness garden at Stratford Hospital.  Benchmark along with other local businesses have helped to create a garden just outside the new eye treatment and cancer unit, that will provide a tranquil place of healing for thousands of patients, staff and visitors each year.

The Garden of Well-being has been designed to be a community edible garden to improve the well-being of the hospital staff, patients and visitors. Giving people the chance to get outside to relax surrounded by delicious smelling herbs, vegetables and edible flowers. It will offer a place to heal, garden, socialise and ultimately a space to help improve the lives of people experiencing isolation and loneliness, providing a place for companionship and nurturing.

Benchmark recognises the importance and benefits of managing its business sustainably (sustainable development is development that meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs). Our Sustainability Policy establishes our commitment to environmental good practice, social responsibility and economic prosperity. It is demonstrated through our Vision, Mission and Values which were developed after consultation with all our employees.

We believe that giving back to the communities in which we operate is fundamental to our business.
