Coronavirus Pandemic

Mar 30, 2020

Following the Prime Minister’s recent announcements, Benchmark have taken a number of steps to provide a safe and clean environment for our clients and our colleagues, during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Our top priority is the safety and wellbeing of all our staff and their families, in this unprecedented situation.

Benchmark provides services to a number of key and essential business’ and organisations and given the nature of our work, our field based staff are unable to work from home. Having said this, our offices have been closed since last week and all our office based staff are now working from home.

As advised on Tuesday 24th March by the Health Secretary, Matt Hancock: “I want to be absolutely clear, when people absolutely cannot work from home they can still go to work, indeed it’s important that they do to keep the country running”.

People working alone, providing community services such as gardeners or window cleaners can continue to work.  “If they can go about their business safely, this can be good for the community and we would encourage them to do so,” said Ms Sturgeon, Tuesday 24th March.

In conjunction with our customers, we continue to monitor and review this rapidly changing situation, in line with the Government issued information and guidelines.

Additional guidance and safe working measures have been put in place, to ensure our staff are fully briefed on how to work safely in accordance with the Governments published protocols.

We ask all of clients and members of the public to support our staff, by keeping a 2 metre social distance, so that they may continue to work safely.
